We Believe

The Bible is the Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative, and applicable to our daily lives.

God is eternal and is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely Holy. Jesus is both God and man and is the only one who can reconcile us to God.

Every time we participate in communion, we remember that Jesus lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.

Sin has separated us from God and His purpose for our lives. To receive forgiveness we must repent of our sins, believe in Jesus, and submit to His will for our lives. God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and powerful lives to help others more effectively. To live the holy, fruitful, and empowered lives that God wants for us, we need to be baptized in water, set our minds on Him and His purpose, and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit.

God has equipped us individually and gathered us corporately as His living body so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, strengthen the Church, and share the Gospel with the community in which we live.

Jesus will return again as promised and will rule and reign on this earth. The story will end when the wicked are judged and the righteous enter a new heaven and a new earth.

The Ordinances of the Church

Baptism in Water

Scripture teaches that all who repent and believe in Jesus must be baptized by immersion (Matthew 28:19). Baptism is a public profession of faith in Jesus. It is a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. It is a declaration to the world that we have died to sin and have been raised with Jesus to walk in newness of life (Romans 6: 4).

Lord's Supper (Communion)

The Lord's table consists of two elements: the bread and the cup. Those elements are a symbol of the body and blood of Jesus. Communion is a memorial of the sufferings of Jesus on the cross and a celebration of our salvation. It is an opportunity for a believer to examine himself or herself and experience forgiveness.
